The presence of the corporate organization dominates all aspects of economic life in Belize, the region and indeed the rest of the world and thus provides cause for a more purposeful and more vigorous plunge into the world and the workings of the human society. Why? Because we as human depends on these bigger corporation as a source of necessity. Whether its to complete business transaction or its for our own purpose. Such as providing jobs and income, exports, imports, as well as innovation ideas to smaller organizations, health etc. So indeed these larger corporate organization dominantes our society and the world for a purpose.

Everything in the work field relates to the economy one way or another, therefore, it will affect the businesses in our country. Not only will it affect businesses, but households as well. The economy is relevant to every single person in this country; therefore, a recession will affect everyone and everything. A recession will likely be the outcome.

If organizations fail the economy will be greatlyimpacted by the loss of major corporations, especially in a small country such as Belize. Belize has a limited amount of sucessful corporate businesses.
Business organizations represent merely one element of the society. The development of business organizations in Belize will be productive for citizens and will be provided with job opportunities. Also business owners with an inverse capital can be reinvested to produce a greater return. Nonetheless the increase in business organizations regionally would aid several countries. The development of a business organization in the region will allow for increased trade. Trade not only limited to products but also expanded into people and their culture. Not only one specific country is the sole recipient of the benefits rather the entire region is. Furthermore the society and business is beneficiary by development of international organizations like the European Union and the United Nations are the perfect examples. They not only look out for their region but also the world assisted by globalization. We as a country are either directly or indirectly affected. How? Once again by trade easy movement but on a larger scale compared to regional trade.

The presence of corporate organizations in our society today whether it be in Belize, or other parts of the world is a necessity and of absolute importance. These organizations assist in the well being of the economy on a whole through the payment of taxes, and by allowing money to circulate throughout the country. They provide us with the ability to obtain goods and services from other organizations, and communicate with other corporations from all over the world. Without organizations, Belize’s economy would suffer a great downfall, and to a greater extent probably even a recession would result.

An organization provides jobs for the civilians of a country, especially for a small country such as our very own. Many Belizeans are dependent upon the employment of large organizations or corporations to ensure a sufficient living. Thus, large organizations do assist in providing a more purposeful and united world.
A corporation, according to www.dictionary.com, is defined as an association of individuals, created by law or under authority of law, having a continuous existence independent of the existences of its members, and powers and liabilities distinct from those of its members. Therefore, corporate organizations like Insurance Corporation of Belize and many others are at an advantage from those sole proprietors. Their liability is limited which means their personal assets cannot be taken away in a situation where the business would be held responsible. It is safe to say that these corporate organizations dominate all aspects of economic life not only in Belize but all over the world because they are well developed and financially prepared to withstand many blows to the market.
Large transnational corporations are important economic life in Belize and worldwide. Almost all our necessities as domestic or individuals are being fulfilled by these corporations. Without corporations our economic system is ineffective. Somehow these corporations dominating institution of our time. They're preeminent throughout the world. They control or greatly influence the business organizations and domestic life as what we eat and drink, where we live, what we wear, how we get most of our essential services like health care and even what we're taught in schools up to the highest levels. They create and control our sources of information and greatly influence how we think and our view of the world and them. Corporations also decide who will govern and how. We may think we do, but it's not so and never was.

These corporate organizations increase foreign investments for a country and in turn give the country more financial power. Belize have benefited from cooperate organizations; take for example the Belize Tourism Industry Association. This organization has work hard to market Belize and the different attractions of the country. The work of this organization has opened another way for Belize to earn money and start working to be a fully independent country. Corporate organization is a very important part of this world, it opens opportunities for countries to develop and grow, and it markets/advertise a country to the world. Also, the economy of Belize is small when compared to other economies in the world. Therefore the down fall of this small economy can be a catastrophic disaster to the citizens. Hence this is the reason why these corporate organizations might dominate the economy of Belize and the world because people rely on them for their employment, income, services and goods, and economic growth. Organizations like Offshore Corporation and even the Belize Tourism Board that is the corporate organization of the year, primarily because of the actuality that people depend and utilizes these organizations as a mean of financial support such as income so as to provide food and shelter for their families. They stabilize the economy in every way for the reason that without them an event of economic crisis will occur such as lock of finance to import the basic food items which this country really depends upon; therefore, diminishing a good relationship with other country and also decreasing the government revenue by a large percent because limited taxes collected. In any country, small businesses depend on the larger ones for their means of living so that they can survive and develop as well. These organizations link our country to the others because of imports and exports and crates global relationship with other businesses around the world. ReplyDeleteThe presences of corporate organizations such as BTL and BEL are the major elements within the economic life of Belize. BTL generated over 3 millions of dollars in profit every year. It is a monopolistic company. The existences of such organizations affect Belize’s economy in a large scale. It provides job opportunities and income (taxes) for the Government of Belize. They are the major characters, the leaders, and the core of our economy. Without these corporate organizations, our society would be affect at a large scale. Without them economic crisis might occur.
Apart from national effects, corporate organizations have a great impact regionally.
An example would be CSME which play a significant role in the economic life of Belize. We all knew about CARICOM passport which promotes the free movement of people within its member states. Its prime objective is to benefit the people of the Region by providing more and better opportunities to produce and sell our goods and services and to attract investment. How does it benefit us? The free trade among member states affects Belize’s local producers critically. Corporate organizations such as Grace Kennedy imports Busta and other beverages. Eliminating all barriers for importing goods, it brings down the expenses for duties and taxes. Thus the imported goods are cheaper than local goods. So how can our local producers survive? The price of Heineken and Red Strip had a dramatic decrease over the last 3 months. Although we do benefit from it, we also had to look at the negative impacts on Belize.
The society and the businesses of Belize are beneficial by the development of international organizations. Belize imports most of its goods from the rest of the world such as US, EU, China and Mexico. Corporate organizations acting as the major mean of communication connect Belize with the rest of the world. They provide us with the ability to obtain goods and services from other organizations, and communicate with other corporations from all over the world. Although Belize play a small role in the world's economy, we benefit from the world in a large scale. They provide cause for a more purposeful and more vigorous plunge into the world.

Large corporations provide numerous jobs for the people who work directly for the company and the other small businesses that gain employment from larger corporations. These large corporations also help out society for instance, The Brodies group of company, Santiago and major banks are always the first to sponsor events/fundraising.

ICB may use smaller business like Creative Marketing/Graphic tees to print work shirts, pens and other office essentials that the company may use or give to customers. So, by doing so, the smaller businesses will then have work for their employees and then it ties back to the homes. Hence, there is this cash flow then homes are able to increase their purchasing power which in effect betters off the economy as the cash flow increases. Hence, there is more cash available for not only goods or services but for investments. Investing within the society enables the growth of the country.

It must be mentioned that large organizations dominate many other aspects of life examples are social and political which at some point will end up affecting life economically. With that said when discussing economical conditions some considerations must be given to these related aspects. The economy and society is somewhat like a symbiotic relationship. One depends on the other. First investors inject money into their business. These large organizations provide job for members of the society which in turn contributes back to the economy by taxes etc. when the employment rate is high then there is a greater cash flow. Profits and expenses such as salaries are formed from a successful company. Staff salaries are more liquid than the profits because the employee’s salaries are directly contributed to the growing economy while the profits are reinvested to acquire goods from other countries to provide goods and service to customers. A small developing country like Belize depends on developed countries to provide goods and services. International bodies such CARICOM, NAFTA and the recent CSME makes trading across world borders even easier.

ReplyDeleteSince governments see large organizations as benefits to a developing country, they are willing to make laws which keep these corporate businesses safe just so that they can continue to generate more income into the country.
This is where it becomes unfair, these oganizations would be excempt from certain laws such as taxation. They become 'immune' if you will to abide by laws which everyday citizens must follow.
Their presence will no doubt affect how people will change their ways or their actions such as buying habits or trends. Organizations will also influence consumer rights and protection now that there will be higher risk for fraud since more transactions are taking place.
